The Smithsburg Athletic Boosters Club was organized in 1967 as a fundraising group to augment the athletic program. Two of our major purposes are to create interest in all athletic sports at Smithsburg High School and to promote fellowship among alumni, friends, and supporters of the school.

The Athletic Booster Club is a 501(c)3 organization (click for IRS 501c3 Doc) and has helped all teams in the past 53 years through the following activities: purchasing equipment and uniforms, sending coaches to clinics, installing scoreboards, building restroom facilities, installing lights on the stadium field and the construction and operation of the concession stand.  Our major fundraiser is the Steam and Craft Show.

The Organization Is Organized Exclusively For The Promotion Of Community Welfare, Educational, Athletic And Charitable Purposes. The Organization Will Conduct Fundraisers And Other Events To Raise Funds That Will Be Used To Support Athletes, Teams, And Coaches In Their Need For Uniforms, Equipment And Training, As Well As Maintenance, Improvements And/Or Upgrades To Athletic Facilities. The Intention Is To Boost And Create Interest In Athletic And Related Activities In The Smithsburg Area And To Promote Fellowship Among Alumni, Friends, And Supporters Of Smithsburg High School.
